A midwife’s phone is never unanswered, but this midwife only wakes up to the phone ringing. Text messages are for things like rearranging appointments – never text me anything that can’t wait three days, because if the message arrives on my day off then I may not see it til I’m back on!
If you have trouble having enough credit on your phone to call me, please let me know. I have options to make sure that you can always get hold of me.
My phone number is 027 222 4303 and when I am not on call, my phone calls will divert to my backup, so you have midwifery care 24/7 – but text messages will not. I may not even see my phone while I’m off, so it is very important to call rather than text.
